SBI Clerk Exam Centre

The SBI Clerk exam is held online at various centres all over India and the candidates can mention their options at the time of filling in the online application. Though there is non-availability of seats at preferred venues yet SBI allots an exam centre other than the choices made by a candidate.

The SBI Clerk Mains is also  held online, the latest update by SBI it has 4 sections there is 190 Question having a total score of 200 marks of 160 minutes duration.SBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern

The candidates must attempt the sections in the same order and within the allotted time fixed by the examining body. The candidate can’t leave the existing section before the time allotted. The next section can only be attempted after the current section is completed. There is a negative marking with a deduction of 0.25 marks for every mistake.

Penalty for Wrong Answers:

A penalty for every incorrect answer will be marked in the Objective Tests of both Preliminary and Mains exams. Every wrong answer will be penalized by deducting 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question. There will be no penalty for leaving a question blank, i.e. in case no answer is marked by the candidate.

Final Score Calculation for SBI Clerk Exam:
There are certain important points on the basis of which the final score for the SBI Clerk exam is calculated:
• Marks scored in the Preliminary Exam (Tier-1) will not be considered in the final score. These are only taken into account to qualify Mains Exam (Tier-2).
• Candidates need to qualify Phase-2
• The aggregate of 100 marks is used for the final merit list for each category. Candidates with high merit rank in each category are finally selected.

“Language Proficiency Test (LPT) – The candidates provisionally selected from the on-line examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned. Candidate not proficient in the Official/Local Language would be disqualified.”

SBI CLERK 2018 Eligibility Criteria (Junior Associates)

The eligibility criteria of SBI Clerk 2018 exam is

A candidate should be between 20-28 years to be eligible for SBI Clerk 2018 exam

He/she must have be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

He or she should be a citizen of India, A subject of Nepal, A subject of Bhutan, A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of settling permanently in India or a person of Indian origin who migrated to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam and have the intention of settling permanently in India.

Educational Qualification for SBI CLERK 2018

Graduation Degree: The eligibility criteria for the SBI exam is graduation degree in any of the streams such as BA, B.Com, BSc, B.Tech, etc., from a University recognized by the Government of India. Candidate who possesses same qualification from the university recognized by the Central Government is also eligible to apply for this exam.

Candidates should have a valid Mark-sheet / Degree: 

Certificate which supports that they are graduates on the day they were registered for the exam.
The percentage of marks obtained in Graduation should be mentioned at time of registration for the SBI Bank-Clerk examination.
Computer Literacy: Knowledge of computer operation is a must as SBI Clerk exam is conducted online.

Language Proficiency: Candidates should have verbal and written proficiency in official language of the State/UT. The candidate should be able to read, write and speak the language.

Nationality / Citizenship of Applicants:

Candidates applying for SBI Clerk Examination should be one of the following:

1. Citizen of India
2. Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
3. Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
4. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India
Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favour.

SBI Clerk Pre-Exam Training

The Nodal Banks/ Participating Organizations may organize pre-examination training for SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates at certain centres as per the strategy issued by Government of India. This is a kind of training session where candidates are acquainted with the type of questions, common mistakes, and tips for time management, best practices, basic tricks and approaches by experts from training organizations.
